Governor Appoints Howard to State Board of Elections; Howard Elected Chairman
Prior to Governor McCrory’s appointment, Josh Howard served as a member of the Wake County Board of Elections. He has long experience in the field: as an Assistant United States Attorney he successfully prosecuted both Republicans and Democrats for fraud and corruption. Josh also worked in Washington on DOJ-White House teams supporting the Supreme Court nominations of Chief Justice John Roberts and Associate Justice Samuel Alito. He is a veteran of several political campaigns, including work as a field staffer on a Presidential campaign in Iowa, New Hampshire, and other early-primary states.
